Gostiny Dvor once again became the epicenter for architecture professionals and enthusiasts as the landmark 30th annual ARCH Moscow exhibition opened its doors on May 21st. The event has long served as a key barometer for the evolution of architectural thought in Russia. This year, the organizers challenged participants and visitors to contemplate the very essence of architecture and the architect's role. What form should architecture take to truly improve our cities? What values and concepts are today's leading firms embedding in their projects? In seeking answers, the exhibition brought together the country's top architects, designers, and industry experts under one roof.
The show's focus extended beyond discussions and debates, highlighting the meticulous, hands-on work with space and materials. This was best expressed through installations where creators shared their unique visions of what truly matters in contemporary architecture. Here is INTERIOR+DESIGN's curated guide to the most interesting stands and installations you shouldn't miss at ARCH Moscow.
FANTALIS Architects: Tourism and ArchitectureThe stand demonstrates how architecture, marketing, and finance can be integrated into a single, cohesive system for developing profitable and environmentally conscious tourism projects. The core message is that every successful tourism project is built on a well-considered master plan. The display showcases work that exemplifies the FANTALIS approach: a strategic engagement with a site that unifies an architectural concept with marketing goals and economic efficiency. At the heart of the stand are rotating three-dimensional cubes featuring photographs of completed projects.
"We create not just buildings, but holistic hospitality concepts. This means pairing well-thought-out architecture with a clear financial model and a defined guest experience scenario. This approach is key to ensuring our projects achieve rapid and stable returns on investment," explains Anna Kulikova, Partner at FANTALIS Architects.
